At Rugbyknights, we believe that chess is not just a game—it's a powerful tool for developing critical thinking skills. We provide a fun and engaging environment where children can learn the intricacies of chess, grow their strategic thinking, and build confidence. Our lessons are designed for children aged 6 and older, ensuring that every child can find their place among our chess groups.

I organize  chess groups for all levels—from complete beginners to experienced kids!

Who will teach the lessons?

My name is Dmytro Chernov. I have been playing chess since the age of 10, hold a 1st rank in chess, and am deeply passionate about this game. I have won various tournaments and would love to share my knowledge and passion with your children.

What do I offer?

• Group lessons for children (up to 8 students with similar skill levels).

• Individual lessons for children and adults.

• Chess tournaments for children and adults.

Group lessons:

• Time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday  from 4 up to 6 p.m

• Frequency: 1 lesson per week

• Duration: 50 minutes

• Location: Kanko Lounge (CV21 3PY, opposite Sheriff school)

Individual Lessons:

• Time: discussed individually

• Frequency: based on the child’s and adult’s needs.

• Duration: 50 minutes

• Location: Rugby library (CV21 3BZ)

Cost:

• Group lesson: £8 per child.

• Individual lesson: £15 per child or adult

Important:

If your child already knows how to play chess, one free individual lesson will be required to assess their level and place them in the appropriate group.

Additionally, I hold tournaments for children and adults . The top three participants with the highest scores will receive cash prizes! It’s exciting, so get ready for the competition — I’m here to help you prepare.
